16th And 17th Century Style OAK Doors
Our 16th and 17th century solid oak doors are all bespoke made to measure and are hand crafted with exceptional quality. We produce internal and external oak doors, single or double doors, ranging from decorative hand carved linenfold panelled front doors to internal ledge brace planked cottage doors. Our doors are made using authentic panel mouldings and details which are based on early 16th century Gothic, Tudor though to the 17th century Elizabethan, Jacobean and later styles.
We will specify and supply period door furniture and will often design bespoke ironmongery, overseeing the hand forged process to create door handles, decorative hinges, bolts and studs. Locks and other security systems can also be designed in to all of our period style doors. Front, rear and side doors will include weather seals creating a barrier from the elements.
As specialists with period English joinery we are very used to working on period proprieties and understand the importance of matching our woodwork to your existing joinery. Our doors are constructed with traditional joinery methods and finishes using our own methods for weathering, ageing and antiquing.
